Housing Now needs your help to take our activism to the next level. Over the past few years shown up for housing at public meetings and in front of the city council. We've been crafting a plan to dramatically expand publicly financed housing, but we can’t do it alone. With your support we can build upon the work we’ve done so far and push towards building 10,000 affordable homes!

Our 2015 budget item to get the city to study a major expansion of publicly financed housing fell one vote short of passing. In 2016 we worked with the build 1000 homes coalition and succeeded in achieving $33 million for publicly financed housing.

All the evidence and all our research indicates we can do more. To do this, we need your help. Events cost money. Staff costs money. Our super volunteers have powered our efforts, but it's hard to lead a truly transformative effort relying on volunteers alone.

With your help, we'll be able to hold more events, recruit more volunteers, and better engage with elected officials and the public. Housing Now supporters who donate at least $40 get to wear our stylish t-shirts and all supports get invited to hang out with us at supporter happy hours.
