The Welcoming Communities Project (WCP) is a grassroots effort to connect new residents, renters, and homeowners in order to break down divisions, build trust and welcome new people into our neighborhoods.  At it's core is the concept that everyone should feel welcome in our city and its many neighborhoods. While the other policy elements (Financing & Neighborhood Affordability Plans) focus on the financial and physical aspects of providing people with home, the WCP focuses on how we treat each other. Specifically, we plan on holding a series of events to bring together people of diverse backgrounds to socialize, share information, and work together. We'll post more information in this place and on our calendar as this project develops.
